Touch Pool Session

Map
Photo of Touch Pool Session

Shallow water at the center of the aquarium holds rays, sea stars, urchins, and hermit crabs, close enough to reach. Staff are at the rail the whole time to show you how — two fingers, flat, a gentle touch along the back as an animal passes, and never a grab. A ray feels smoother than most people expect, somewhere between wet rubber and velvet.

Sessions run throughout the day with rest periods in between, so the animals can have stretches of the pool to themselves. Rinse stations are at both ends, and staff can tell you which animals are out and available before you get in line.
