Japanese Garden

A dry garden of raked gravel and set stone sits at the center, edged with clipped pines, weathered lanterns, and moss that's been years in the making. It's designed to be walked slowly and revealed in pieces — no view shows you everything at once, and the path bends deliberately to keep it that way. Find the bench on the north side, positioned for the one spot where the garden opens up and shows you the whole composition.
